COUNCIL NEWS

Church council news from their August 13, 2024 meeting. 

a.The deacons gratefully received the following offerings from the congregation in July:   

 

i. 07/21 - Ministry shares - $266.00   
ii. 07/28 - Cadets - $185.00   
iii. 08/04 - Covenantal Plan - $94.00   
iv. 08/11 - David’s salary - 4940.00   
v. General Fund - $4730.00

  
b. In counting the 55 ballots cast for changing our time of worship resulted in 80% voting for beginning our services at 9:00 a.m.  This change to 9:00 is planned to begin on September 1, 2024.   

 

c. Set procedures for ensuring that we are projecting, recording, and live-streaming our services professionally each week.  We very much appreciate and respect everyone who has and is volunteering in operating this complex system.  We could use additional volunteers, so if you are interested, simply speak to a council member.    

 

d. Advance notices from the council:

 
i. We are planning a church potluck in the church basement at noon on Sunday, September 8 with our youth and others free to play on our church yard and Ebenezer’s playground afterwards.  Table service and drinks will be provided.   

 

ii. Church education classes for all age levels is scheduled to begin the following Sunday, September 15, after the morning worship.

  
e. Set our next meeting for Monday, September 9, at 7:00 p.m.
